ProDentim review: the chewable probiotic tablet made for teeth and gums
What does ProDentim do?
ProDentim is a soft tablet you let dissolve in your mouth once a day. According to the maker, its 3.5 billion probiotics support healthy teeth and gums and fresh breath. Its label lists three probiotic strains in a 20 mg blend, plus peppermint and tricalcium phosphate. It costs $49 to $79 a bottle (30 tablets) on the official site, with a 60-day money-back guarantee.
- One soft tablet a day, dissolved in the mouth
- 3 probiotic strains: 3.5 billion CFU, according to the label
- Strawberry and peppermint flavor
- Non-GMO, gluten-free and stimulant-free, according to the maker
This page is based on the maker's product page, shipping and refund policies, the product label filed in the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database, and the public research linked in the sources. Benefits and claims are as described by ProDentim. It is not medical or dental advice. How we review
How common are gum problems?
Gums that bleed when you brush, breath that stays bad, teeth that feel sensitive. Many adults live with these signs for years.
Gum disease is very common. The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) says about 4 in 10 adults aged 30 and older in its national survey had some level of periodontitis, and about 6 in 10 of those aged 65 and older [1].
The good news is that the mildest form, gingivitis, can be reversed. The NIDCR (National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research) explains that early gum disease caused by plaque can often be reversed with daily brushing and flossing, while advanced disease needs treatment from a dentist or a gum specialist [2]. These are the signs the NIDCR lists [2]:
- Red, swollen or tender gums, or gums that bleed easily.
- Gums pulling away from the teeth, so the teeth look longer.
- Loose or sensitive teeth, or pain when chewing.
- Bad breath that does not go away.
If you notice any of these, the first step is a dental visit. A supplement like ProDentim is, at most, an extra on top of that care.

What is ProDentim and how does it work?
ProDentim is a dietary supplement in the form of a soft, strawberry-flavored tablet. Each bottle holds 30 tablets, one a day, so it lasts a month. The maker's page says to slowly chew one tablet every morning; the label says to let it dissolve completely in your mouth, ideally after brushing your teeth or using mouthwash.
According to the maker, the idea is simple: a healthy mouth needs enough "good" bacteria, and ProDentim adds 3.5 billion of them every day. The maker says this supports:
- Healthy teeth and gums.
- Long-lasting fresh breath.
- Ear, nose and throat health, and the immune system.
The sales page goes further. It says common toothpaste and mouthwash contain "toxic ingredients" that destroy the mouth's bacteria, and that the tablet also helps with allergies, sleep and digestion. We did not find studies on ProDentim itself that support any of these claims.
What it is not: a medicine or a treatment for gum disease. The maker's disclaimer says its statements have not been evaluated by the FDA (US Food and Drug Administration) and that it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Can probiotics really help your teeth and gums?
The idea behind ProDentim comes from real research on the oral microbiome, the community of bacteria that lives in the mouth. But the research says less than the sales page suggests.
What the reviews say. The NCCIH (National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health), part of the NIH, notes that a review of 12 studies found probiotics may be a helpful addition to gum disease treatment, by reducing disease-causing bacteria and improving clinical signs; effects may differ from one probiotic to another [3]. For gingivitis alone, a 2020 review of 10 placebo-controlled trials in the Australian Dental Journal found only weak evidence that probiotics reduce gum inflammation [5].
Most trials test an extra, not a replacement: people got a professional deep cleaning first, then the probiotic or a placebo.
Toothpaste is not the enemy. The sales page says toothpaste and mouthwash can destroy the mouth's bacteria. The NIDCR still recommends brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste and flossing daily to prevent gum disease [2], and the CDC gives the same advice [1]. The label itself says to take ProDentim after brushing or using mouthwash.
What is in ProDentim, and what does the research say?
The maker's sales page does not show a Supplement Facts label. We found the label in the Dietary Supplement Label Database of the NIH (National Institutes of Health), entered in 2023 [4]. It lists one active item per tablet: a 20 mg proprietary probiotic blend with 3.5 billion CFU of three strains. It does not give the amount of each strain or say which exact variety of each species is used.
The other ingredients on that label are tricalcium phosphate, peppermint, natural strawberry flavor, blue agave, stearic acid, mannitol, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, sucralose and microcrystalline cellulose. The sales page also names inulin and malic acid from strawberries, which we did not find on the 2023 label. If you have allergies, check the bottle you receive or ask support before taking it.
Inside the ProDentim formula

What to expect from ProDentim, week by week
The maker does not say how soon you should notice a change; its refund page even suggests using it for at least 3 months, longer than the 60-day guarantee. What you can control is how you test it while the guarantee covers you.
| When | What to do | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Before you start | If it has been more than a year, book a dental checkup. Write down what bothers you: bleeding when brushing, bad breath in the morning, sensitive gums. | A dentist can spot problems a supplement cannot fix. Your notes are the starting point to compare later. |
| Day 1 | Brush and floss as usual, then let one tablet dissolve in your mouth, as the label says. | The tablet is meant to go on top of your routine, not to replace it. |
| Weeks 1–2 | Notice how your stomach handles it. Count the tablets: no more than 3 a day, as the label warns. | Some people report gas or stomach upset with probiotics. The tablets also contain mannitol, a sugar alcohol. |
| Weeks 3–6 | Once a week, reread your note. Does your gum bleed less when you brush? Is your breath better in the morning? | Trials on similar strains lasted 2 to 12 weeks, so a few days is too early to judge. |
| Week 7–8 | Decide: keep going or ask for a refund. | The guarantee lasts 60 days from delivery, and you pay the return shipping. Leave time to email support and mail the bottles back. |
| Your next dental visit | Tell your dentist you take it and ask what they see. | Your dentist can measure your gums; a mirror cannot. |

Is ProDentim safe? Side effects and when to ask a doctor
The maker says ProDentim was designed for all ages and medical conditions and that its ingredients are generally considered safe. The label is more careful: it says not to take more than 3 tablets a day, and to talk with your healthcare provider first if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medicines, have a medical condition or have allergies [4]. The NCCIH says probiotics have a long history of apparently safe use in healthy people, but the risk of harm is greater in people with severe illness or a weak immune system [3].
| Situation | Why it matters | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Gas, bloating or loose stools | Some people report digestive symptoms when starting a probiotic. The tablets also contain mannitol, a sugar alcohol that can have a laxative effect in larger amounts. | Stay at one tablet a day. If it does not settle, stop and ask your doctor. |
| Heartburn or nausea | Peppermint can cause heartburn or nausea in some people, according to the NIH. | If it keeps happening, stop taking it. |
| Weak immune system or serious illness | The risk of infections from probiotics is greater in people with severe illness or a compromised immune system. | Do not take it unless your doctor says it is fine. |
| Pregnant, nursing or under 18 | The label asks pregnant and nursing women to consult their healthcare provider before use. | Ask your doctor first. |
| You take prescription medicines | The label asks people taking medicines to talk with their provider first. | Show the label to your doctor or pharmacist. |
| Bleeding gums, loose teeth or pain when chewing | These are signs of gum disease that need a dentist, according to the NIDCR. | See a dentist. A supplement is not the answer here. |
Who is ProDentim for, and who should skip it?
ProDentim can make sense for:
- Adults with healthy gums who already brush, floss and see a dentist, and want to add a daily oral probiotic.
- People curious about oral probiotics who want to try one with a money-back guarantee.
Better to skip it or ask a doctor or dentist first if you:
- Have bleeding gums, loose teeth, pain or a diagnosis of periodontitis. You need dental treatment first.
- Have a weak immune system or a serious illness.
- Are pregnant, nursing, under 18 or take prescription medicines.
- Want to know the exact dose of each strain. The label does not give it.
- Expect it to replace toothpaste, floss or cleanings. Nothing in the research supports that.
Habits that keep teeth and gums healthy, with or without ProDentim
A probiotic works, if at all, on top of the basics. These steps come from the NIDCR [2] and the CDC [1]. Most cost little or nothing.
- Brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste.
- Floss every day, or use an interdental brush, a pick or a water flosser if your dentist recommends one.
- Get regular checkups and cleanings. Only a professional can remove tartar.
- Quit tobacco. It is the biggest risk factor for gum disease and slows healing.
- Keep diabetes under control, since it is linked to gum disease.
- Ask about your medicines if your mouth feels dry or your gums change.
How much does ProDentim cost, and which pack is the best deal?
ProDentim is sold on the official site. With one tablet a day, the 2-bottle pack works out to about $2.63 a day, the 3-bottle pack to $2.30 and the 6-bottle pack to $1.63, before shipping.
Which one? 2 bottles is the smallest order, plus $9.99 shipping, and covers the full 60-day guarantee. The 3-bottle pack (sold as "2 + 1") covers 90 days. The 6-bottle pack ("3 + 3") is the cheapest per bottle and the only one with the 3 bonus e-books, but it is the biggest upfront cost.
One detail: the crossed-out totals on the order page ($358, $537 and $1,074) are based on $179 a bottle. We did not find ProDentim sold at that price anywhere, so the "savings" are the maker's own numbers.

6 bottles
$294 ($49 a bottle)
180-day supply. Free shipping to some destinations. 3 bonus e-books.
The 3 free bonus e-books
The 6-bottle pack comes with three digital guides:
- Bad Breath Gone. One Day Detox: spice and herb mixes for fresh breath.
- Hollywood White Teeth at Home: a "bright teeth" method and a brushing trick.
- At-Home Oral Reset: a mouth rinse, a fruit-peel trick and a tongue exercise.
They are e-books, not extra bottles, and we have not read them. Ask your dentist before trying home whitening tricks. Nice to have, but not a reason to choose a pack.

Is ProDentim legit or a scam?
ProDentim is a real product with a label on file in the NIH label database [4], which names a distributor, Fyvus. The official site lists a refund policy, a shipping policy and support contacts. Some points to know before you buy:
- "FDA-approved facility". The maker says ProDentim is made in an FDA-approved facility. The FDA says it does not approve manufacturing facilities, and does not approve dietary supplements for safety and effectiveness [10].
- Testimonials and ratings. The sales page shows three customer quotes and says "based on 95,000 reviews". We could not verify either, and we do not treat them as real reviews.
- Complaints. On Oct 16, 2026, the ProDentim profile on Trustpilot had a score of 1.9 out of 5 from 101 reviews, and the company had not claimed it [11]. The most common complaints were refunds that were refused or ignored, support that was hard to reach, no change in teeth or gums, and some stomach upset. Trustpilot notes the company does not ask for reviews, so the sample may lean negative. We found no ProDentim profile on the Better Business Bureau website.
- Lookalike websites. Many pages use the ProDentim name, and some sell it on marketplaces. We could not confirm who runs them.
To be sure the 60-day guarantee applies, order through the official site and keep your order email.
