What happens to your information when you visit Global Trends Digest.

In short: we do not ask you to create an account and we do not sell your personal information. We use Google Analytics to count visits, some basic technical data is collected by the services that run this site, and affiliate partners may set cookies after you click a paid link.

Information collected when you visit

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: how many people visit, which pages they read, how they found us, and roughly where they are (country and city, not your exact location). Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and receives your IP address. We use this only to improve the site. We do not use it for ads, and Google's advertising features are turned off. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

You can also block Google Analytics on every site with Google's opt-out browser add-on.

Affiliate links and cookies

When you click a link marked “Paid link”, you leave our site. The affiliate network or seller may place a cookie in your browser to record that the visit came from us, so we can be paid a commission if you buy. Those companies handle your data under their own privacy policies, including any order or payment details you give them. We never see your payment information.

Emails you send us

If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to reply. We do not add you to a mailing list.

What we do not do

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you live in a place with privacy laws that give you rights over your data, such as California or the European Union, you can ask us what we hold about you or ask us to delete it by contacting us.

Changes

If we add new tools to the site, we will update this page and the date at the top before we start using them.
